Observational Documentaries are used to test, trial and draw conclusions from a hypothesis using film as a medium to record what happens. In exploring porosity in my environment I decided that an observational documentary would be the most logical in presenting my ideas, as I like the viewers am curious as to the results of my experiment will be and will draw my conclusions from the facts that are presented to me in the documentation. Like all observational documentaries however, my conclusions are biased in what the film maker is trying to get across as their arguement.
In using the observational documentary I plan to first lay out a question in which I hope to answer using short abrupt clips of explosions. Using the clips I hope to help make the viewer come to the same conclusion that I have, which I share at the end. I then plan to place a clip after my findings that provides complete evidence to which I have just proved the answer to my question. I chose to use this method of experimental science because I felt I had a question that I wanted answered and I was out to prove my hypothesis on it. I believe I have achieved this.

Vegas Movie

I decided to use this 30 second clip as a mockumentary ad for my environment in Crysis.

Week 3- Pickable Object

I tried to answer the question on everyone's mind. What happens when you pick up a snowman and throw it at something or try to blow it up. Nothing it seems except a whole lot of rolling and collisions. It does not as I thought it might crumble and fall apart like real snow would. Interestingly enough not cold on my hands either.

Third Week Task

Explosion 3

Exploding an outhouse, or a medium sized object in Crysis.

Explosion 2

Explosion of small objects containing a banana box full of bananas and a full bag of rice. Rice didn't explode how I expected. I had hoped it would rain rice down like confetti.

Explosion One

Explosion Hypothesis

My hypothesis for the reaction of the buildings when a grenade is thrown is that the direct area near where the grenade has landed will explode and make an impact around that area. I don't believe that in a larger building it will do much overall damage and the building will still be standing. However I imagine that it will make at least some damage in that immediate location.
